Marine training courses

Our Centre for Marine Training and Research (CMTR) is recognized as central Canada’s marine centre of excellence. As a leader in marine innovation, customized training, research and development, we pride ourselves on delivering industry-driven marine training and certification. We’re focused on providing the highest standard of relevant training, delivered by expert instructors with extensive industry experience.

The CMTR follows the attendance requirements stated in the appropriate TPs and other regulations. If no attendance requirement is stated, the CMTR requires trainees to have a minimum of 90% attendance for in-class/theory portions and 100% attendance in skill demonstration activities to obtain a certificate. The 90% attendance requirement is only to accommodate force majeure circumstances that may prevent a trainee from achieving full 100% attendance and is not a license to decrease course hours.
