  • Be treated with respect
  • Be informed
  • Be protected
  • Be heard
  • Be supported

If you’ve experienced sexual violence, we encourage you to

  • Go to a safe place
  • Get medical attention
  • Seek support and counselling
  • Report the incident

As a support person, you can

  • Listen with respect and compassion
  • Accept the disclosure as truth
  • Don’t judge – validate
