Summer 2021 semester update: remote and hybrid delivery

After careful consideration, Georgian will continue with a combination of fully remote and hybrid (remote/in-person) program delivery for the summer 2021 semester. In-person classes and labs will only be delivered where absolutely required to meet learning outcomes or accreditation requirements.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • With a few exceptions, the semester will start May 17 and end Aug. 20 (13 weeks).
  • There will be one Study Week from June 28 to July 2.
  • You can use the program search tool for summer 2021 to find out which courses will be online and which will have in-person components.
  • If you’re scheduled to be on co-op work term or clinical or field placement this summer, there is more information for you on our summer semester web page.
  • Summer semester registration will open April 13.
  • All student services will continue to operate remotely.
  • For regular updates and answers to frequently asked questions, visit our COVID-19 web page.

As always, our decisions are made observing the guidance and direction of the provincial government and our local public health units. Should the direction change, we may be required to revisit our decisions.
