Georgian received more than 500 applications at its Virtual Open House on Saturday from 309 unique applicants, who applied for free, thanks to the college covering the $125 Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) fee. Of these applications, 68 per cent of them applied to only Georgian programs.

“We continue to see a strong interest in applying to and attending Georgian College through events like this,” said Kristy Linklater, Associate Director, Marketing and Recruitment, adding more than 2,500 guests attended Virtual Open House.

“This speaks to how highly desired Georgian is due to its solid reputation in academic quality, commitment to hands-on learning, innovative learning spaces, and creation of a community where everyone feels that they belong. It’s why Georgian continues to offer more than an education – it’s a full experience.”

Apply before Feb. 1 to receive equal consideration

For anyone considering applying, this week is the perfect time because you will receive equal consideration for admission to programs starting the following fall. After Feb. 1, Ontario colleges consider applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until programs are full.

As well, anyone applying to a highly competitive program must submit their application before Feb. 1 in order to be considered.
