Explore new programs and apply for free at Georgian College’s Open House on Nov. 15

Barrie, Ont. – Imagine showing up at Georgian College, receiving an offer of admission on the spot and getting the chance to win $5,000 toward tuition.

That will become reality for many prospective students and their families at Georgian’s Open House on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Guests and soon-to-be Grizzlies can explore Georgian’s campuses and experience first-hand what makes the college such a welcoming place to learn. From touring innovative labs and learning spaces to meeting faculty and students from Georgian’s more than 130 programs, visitors will discover how the college blends hands-on learning with real-world experience.

This fall’s Open House will also shine a spotlight on several exciting new programs launching at Georgian. Visitors can meet instructors, ask questions and learn how these programs are designed to prepare graduates for in-demand careers in growing industries, including:

Denture Design and Fabrication – Develop the specialized skills needed to design, fabricate and repair dentures, supporting oral health care and patient well-being.
Video and Motion Graphics Production – Combine creativity and technology to tell compelling stories through film, advertising and digital media.
Flight Services – Cabin Management – Prepare for a career in aviation through training in in-flight safety, service and customer care.
Pre-Engineering Techniques – Build a strong foundation in math, science and design for pathways into engineering or technical careers.
Game Development – Blend creativity, artistry and technical skills to build immersive digital games and realms using emerging technologies.

Open House is also the perfect time to take advantage of a special opportunity, as Georgian will waive the $150 Ontario College Application Service fee for anyone who applies to a Georgian program on the day of the event, provided it is their first choice.

Visitors can attend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Barrie Campus, or from 9 a.m. to noon at the Midland, Orangeville and Owen Sound campuses. Parking is complimentary.

For those unable to attend in person, Georgian offers several ways to connect, including one-on-one appointments with recruitment specialists who can answer questions and assist with applications. You can also learn more about Georgian through Get to Know Georgian, a live virtual information session that walks prospective students through programs, admissions, financial aid and student life. The next session takes place Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 5 p.m., and registration is now open.
