Georgian is an early adopter of the digital credentialing network in Canada, which is being used by more than 100 institutions in several countries around the world.

Cindy Mutchler, Georgian’s Registrar, says the online platform is in keeping with the college’s bold digital innovation strategy.

“The MyCreds™ platform is a new technology and key resource that will enhance student services and underscore our commitment to being a leader in an increasingly digital world,” says Cindy. “The credentialing wallet will allow us to continue to adapt in a meaningful way and provide the best experience possible for our students and alumni.”

MyCreds™ will bring efficiencies to what has traditionally been a paper-based process and help mitigate credential fraud. Students will, for example, be able to send official, digitized and cryptographically-signed transcripts or parchments in seconds, directly to whomever they like.

Graduating students will still receive paper parchments (certificates, diplomas and degrees) in addition to digital access to their documents.
