Did you know approximately 82 per cent of reported sexual assaults are committed by someone known to the survivor? You may have a friend or peer who discloses their experience to you.

We all have a right to study and work in an environment free from sexual violence.

- Be treated with respect
- Be informed
- Be protected
- Be heard
- Be supported
As a support person, you can
- Listen with respect and compassion
- Accept the disclosure as truth
- Don’t judge – validate
