Embrace your inner poet this month

October is Canadian Library Month. Pop by the Georgian library or one of the region’s community libraries and create some spine poetry.

How it works

  • Grab a bunch of books with interesting titles.
  • Stack them to create a poem.
  • Take a photo of your masterpiece.

Here are a few examples created by staff:

Example of spine poetry, three books stacked to read: Between here and forever, where the air is sweet, the forgotten
Example of a spine poem, books stacked to read: Buried in a book, the last word, wit's end
Example of a spine poem, three books stacked to read: O my darling, call me by your name, a secret kept
Example of spine poetry, three books stacked to read: Dark places, where I lost her, we are water
Example of spine poetry, 4 books stacked to read: Minds of our own, getting lost, the trouble between us, maxed out
