Take a stroll down memory lane with vintage TBT photos
Jan. 13, 2017
This Throwback Thursday (TBT) photo from the late 1960s shows the Barrie Campus in its infancy, at its permanent location on Duckworth Street. The largest of the college’s seven campuses, it now boasts 12 buildings totaling one million square feet on a 110-acre site.
Facilities include a 9,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art athletic and fitness centre, a 525-bed student residence and the campus will soon be home to the new Advanced Technology, Innovation and Research Centre.
Throughout 2017, Georgian will feature TBT photos leading up to the college’s 50th anniversary celebrations in October. Students are invited to submit their own dated photos (more than one year old) – which will appear on college social media channels and the celebration site – for a chance to win a Tim Hortons gift card.
