Update re: nationwide internet and cellular outage – July 8

During the nationwide internet and cellular outage, internet access is currently available at all Georgian campuses except the John Di Poce South Georgian Bay Campus (Collingwood).
In addition, service is limited at the Owen Sound Campus.
If you have remote classes today and are able to connect, please log in for your scheduled class. Students or professors may or may not be able to connect depending on their situation. If you’re unable to connect, you will not be academically penalized. Please contact your professor(s) once internet is restored.
Employees: if you’re working remotely and don’t have an internet connection, there are multiple options – work offline, find a location with a connection such as your nearest campus, connect with your manager if possible, etc.
Georgian will provide a follow-up communication at noon.
Update: July 8 at noon
The nationwide internet and cellular outage continues. All scheduled remote learning is cancelled for the remainder for the day (July 8), and students will not be academically penalized. Scheduled in-person learning continues on campus.
