Georgian hosting Try a Trade event on March 29 in Owen Sound

Are you interested in learning a trade or thinking about applying to one of Georgian’s skilled trades programs? If so, you may want to come out to our free Try a Trade event at the Owen Sound Campus on March 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Participants will get to explore our state-of-the-art lab spaces and take part in hands-on activities in the skilled trades. Plus, they can meet expert faculty, current students and local employers to learn more about career pathways.

There is a shortage of skilled trades workers in Canada, so if you like working with your hands, this is an opportune time to start. Georgian has outstanding facilities, faculty and employer connections to help start your career.

This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in the skilled trades to see firsthand what they’re all about. There’s a lot of opportunity in Grey-Bruce for people wanting to work in the skilled trades, so there’s never been a better time for someone to get into trades training.

Those who come out to the Try a Trade event will also be able to apply for free to a Georgian program.
