Georgian Firefighter grads set world record at competition

Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training graduates Vicky Middleton and Billy Carlisle (both pictured here) won the national championship in the mixed tandem X3 division and set a new world record with a time of 1:47:18 at the Scott FireFit National Championships last month in Spruce Meadows, Alta.

The pair represented Vaughan Fire and Rescue.

The Scott FireFit Championships is a competition based on firefighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations. Competitors range from seasoned 10-year veterans to first-time rookies.
