How are you feeling, really?
We want to support our Georgian College community every day, and Bell Let’s Talk Day is yet another reason to check in. We’re here for you.
Bell Let’s Talk: What are we talking about?
Now in its 11th year, Bell Let’s Talk is a campaign to create awareness and acceptance around mental health.
Started by Bell Canada, the company pledges every year to donate 5 cents for every text, call, tweet or TikTok video using #BellLetsTalk or use of its Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.

Bell Let’s Talk: Mental-health advice for students
Have questions about how to take care of your mental health? Georgian’s Mental Health and Well-being team has answers.
Q: What’s your advice for how students can take care of their mental health, especially during a pandemic?
A: Now more than ever it is so important we take care of ourselves and each other.
Be gentle with yourself. Practicing self-compassion during this time of uncertainty and isolation is essential.

Q: What is self-care and why is it important?
A: At Georgian we refer to self-care as taking action to improve one’s own physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual well-being. Wisdom from our Indigenous community teaches us that it’s important to pay attention to all areas of our well-being.
Although you may think you don’t have time for this, it’s extremely important as self-care can help you manage stress and increases your ability to learn and succeed in your work and academics.

Q: What is GC@3?
A: GC@3 is an opportunity to pause, connect, and breathe with our Georgian community through guided mindfulness sessions.
This practice is open to everyone, so consider including those at home with you, inviting peers, and sharing the link! It is offered three times per week at varied times for your convenience.
