3 ways to stay motivated while studying remotely
July 8, 2020
It’s not uncommon for students to struggle with motivation, even during times when we’re not physically distancing or isolating because of a pandemic.
Greg Taylor, a counsellor at Georgian, shares a few tips on how you can stay motivated while studying remotely.
Get active outdoors
Go for a walk, run, roll, trampoline jump – whatever it is, physical activity can boost your mood, energy and focus.
Get those feelings out
Even if you’re isolated from friends or family, take advantage of technology and connect with them to share what’s happening in your life. Whether you’re upset or happy, it’s important to talk about how you’re feeling.
Get in touch with a counsellor
Mental health affects motivation and can result in issues such as avoidance, lack of concentration and procrastination. Georgian has a team of counsellors who would love to speak with you about any issues you’re facing and how to help you through them. You’re not alone.
