Golf degree students manage successful event for National Golf Club Owners Association

Bachelor of Business Golf Management and NGCOA

On Tuesday March 24, 2015, the third year BBGM students once again successfully managed the National Golf Club Owners Association Spring warm-up held this year at Nobleton Lakes Golf Club. In attendance were in excess of 70 golf club owners along with 30 representatives from suppliers to the golf industry. During the event the members participate in a general meeting, workshops, discussion periods, and then attend a supplier trade show.

This is the 4th annual participation of the students managing the spring warm-up for the NGCOA and it was an extremely successful day. Our students planned, set up, managed and executed the largest, and highest profile of all the spring warm-up meetings. The professionalism and skills of our students were highly regarded and appreciated by both the participants as well as management from the NGCOA and Golf Max.

A huge thank you to the students for representing the BBGM so admirably, and to instructor Deb Bobechko for directing the course.

Feedback from the NGCOA:

“The big thank you should go out to the Georgian students. You and your team did an amazing job -There was always one of you at the next corner eager to help wherever you could. Central Ontario is one of our biggest Spring Warm Ups, and you executed the event with attention to the smallest of details. Thank you for all of your time and great leadership in running the event this year.

All the best,

Olivia
