Georgian grad brews positive change with tea business
March 22, 2018
Brendan Neskovski, a graduate of Georgian’s Tourism and Travel program, has always had a passion for health and wellness. That passion, with support from Georgian’s Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre, has sparked a successful new business that’s making a meaningful environmental and social impact.
Neskovski founded Tea For™ – a tea company located in Barrie that uses only ethically sourced, raw and organic ingredients.
“As a society, we have really westernized the tea industry,” he says. “Many teas on the market have added sugars, chemicals, artificial flavours and colours. Tea For™ is all tea, with none of the fillers. We also ensure our teas are made in the most responsible way, with the least carbon footprint.”
The company’s teas come from all over the world. Brendan and his team deal through a co-packer to source the teas and are aspiring to build personal relationships with each of the farmers they work with.
“Harvesting tea leaves is an art,” Neskovski says “For many, it’s a family trade passed down from generation to generation.”
You can shop at Tea For™ online. You can also save on your teas by setting up regular delivery.
Ten percent of Tea For’s net profits support the International Fund for Animal Welfare, one of the largest animal welfare and conservation charities in the world.
