Train in Technology Expo brings together tech innovators

male student in a blue shirt reading papers in a tech labAnyone interested in learning about tech-related career opportunities and where you can obtain the necessary training and education should attend the Train in Technology Expo Wednesday, March 1 at the Barrie Molson Centre. The Expo will showcase hands-on how private sector businesses and public institutions use technology in interesting ways.

Georgian is participating in the event as a lead partner with the City of Barrie and Barrie Chamber of Commerce – and as part of an Innovation Alley.

“Train in Technology is bringing together the region’s innovative tech industry from a variety of sectors to promote their products, services and career opportunities,” said Kevin Weaver, Vice President, International, Workforce Development and Partnerships. “For the public, and in particular students, the event is a great chance to explore potential technology careers, and as an event partner Georgian will be there to discuss education pathways to those careers. Events like this are critical to support businesses and economic growth.”

The Train in Technology Expo is a free event. It runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
