Students vote in favour of having Barrie bus pass added as ancillary fee

Full-time Georgian students studying in Barrie will be able to get around the city as of the fall semester with just the swipe of their ONEcard.

Over 4,760 students voted in the Universal Bus Pass Referendum – the majority voting in favour to add the pass as an ancillary fee.

The fee is $86 per term for 2018-19.

The bus pass becomes part of the Georgian ONEcard and will allow students without transportation better access to local amenities.
