Student wins $1,500 toward tuition for completing GPS survey
Jan. 18, 2016

Catherine Drea, Georgian’s Vice President, Student Engagement and University Partnerships, presents student Jack Miller with his tuition prize.
Jack Miller, a General Arts and Science student at the Barrie Campus, was recently awarded a $1,500 tuition prize. Miller filled out a Georgian Profile Survey (GPS) for first-semester students during the fall and was entered into the draw to win.
Two online surveys are administered to first-semester students to document their experiences, promote awareness of support services and identify students who may be at risk of not persevering with their studies.
Students have until Jan. 29 to complete the first GPS for winter 2016.
The second survey will be available following Study Week, with another tuition prize to be awarded early April.
