Steve Lowe named new Chair of Georgian College’s Board of Governors

Steve Lowe, an Owen Sound resident, community champion and Wealth Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities Inc., is the 2024-25 Chair of Georgian College’s Board of Governors. The board held its first meeting of the academic year on Sept. 26.

Lowe joined the Board of Governors in 2020 and recently served as Vice Chair.

Prior to his career at RBC Dominion Securities, Lowe was managing partner for a national accounting firm and an entrepreneur growing a family business. As a chartered accountant and entrepreneur, he developed an expertise in wealth management for his clients and specializes in working with family-owned businesses, and professionals.
Lowe is active in the community. He is Past Chair of the Owen Sound Family Health Team and has served on the board of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery. Steve is a strong supporter of the local business community and entrepreneurship, and he is a founding Board Member of the Blue Water Angel Investor Group and Catapult Grey Bruce. Professionally, he has been involved with CPA Ontario as a member of the Professional Conduct and Discipline Committees.
