Spotlight on Prof. Bruce Meyer for National Poetry Month

It’s National Poetry Month! To celebrate, we put the spotlight on Georgian Professor and Barrie’s inaugural Poet Laureate Bruce Meyer. Hear what he has to say in this video about how language empowers people to realize their dreams.

Dr. Meyer has authored or edited more than 60 books – three of which were national bestsellers – including poetry, short fiction, non-fiction, pedagogy and literary journalism. His work often explores the complexities of our existence and the major challenges we face in life. At Georgian, his course specialties include Canadian literature, creative writing, and composition.

He has won literature awards in Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Switzerland.
