Police plan friendly tour of Barrie Campus Wednesday, March 2

Barrie Police Services’ Tactical Support Team will visit Georgian Wednesday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The team will tour the Barrie Campus and refresh its knowledge of the college’s safety procedures and practices.

Officers may be in tactical gear. If you’re on campus that day, please note this is a planned visit, not an incident under way.

Georgian partners with local police services to ensure we’re ready for the challenges of an emergency situation. For example, we recently adopted a new lockdown procedure recommended by emergency planning experts and police.
