Partnership sparks provincial recognition

Georgian’s Scott Emslie and Becca Allan are presented with the Ontario Fire Marshal Award.
A team of Georgian staff, faculty and students was recognized recently by the Ontario Fire Marshal. They were presented with the 2016 Public Fire Safety Council’s Fire Safety Action Award.
The award was presented to Scott Emslie, outgoing president of the Barrie Georgian College Students’ Association, and Becca Allan, Student Advisor, at a special ceremony in Toronto.
It recognizes Georgian’s partnership with the Barrie Fire and Emergency Service and significant contributions toward making Ontario a safer place to live.
