New Student Code of Conduct

We all have a role to play in helping to ensure Georgian is a safe, welcoming and inclusive place to study. Read the new Student Code of Conduct on our website. What’s new:

  • Clearer complaints and appeals procedures
  • Covers non-academic incidents that occur both on and off campus and affect the Georgian community
  • Creation of the Student of Concern Committee to provide a means for early intervention of students who may be at risk or pose a risk to themselves or others
  • Resource on sexual misconduct

Facts about the code:

  • Keeps us accountable
  • Provides a framework to resolve issues when informal resolution is not possible
  • Complements other guidelines and regulations, such as the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
