New pop-up market a highlight of Research, Innovation and Scholarship Day

Georgian will share and celebrate the innovative research-related and changemaking projects, papers and posters of students, faculty and community partners at the third annual Research, Innovation and Scholarship (RIS) Day.

Buy, sample and taste various items created by clients of the Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre (HBEC). More than 10 vendors will be selling everything from the perfect grilling sauce and beard products, to books, art and awesome workout clothing. It’s going to be a neat opportunity to shop and see the kind of businesses HBEC works with.

In addition to presentations, there will be keynote speeches on the environment by Rod Muir, Waste Diversion Campaigner for Sierra Club Canada and Ashley Wallis, Program Manager (Water) for Environmental Defence Canada.
Meghan Muise and Lindsay Haley, owners and founders of RIPE Juicery, will also talk about minimizing environmental impacts through a circular economy.
