Mercury Marine partners with Georgian to propel industry forward
Aug. 6, 2019
Mercury Marine Canada and Georgian College have joined forces to ensure there are more specially trained technicians qualified to work in the marine industry.
The manufacturer of marine propulsion systems announced last week at the Robbert Hartog Midland Campus that, through this partnership, Georgian students in the Mechanical Techniques programs will have the hands-on opportunity to work with the latest marine technology and products.
The partnership will reinforce and strengthen the pipeline of technicians across the country.
“Georgian is proud to work with Mercury Marine to ensure our students get the hands-on education and experience they need to be part of the future of the marine industry,” says Mac Greaves, Campus Manager.
Mercury Marine Canada will also relocate its service training from its head office in Milton to Georgian this fall.
