Larche Communications Inc. gives the gift of time to Georgian College students
Dec. 1, 2015
Georgian College has received a gift of time on this Giving Tuesday.
Larche Communications Inc. (LCI) announced it will support the college’s Power of Education: Transforming the Student Experience fundraising campaign with a donation of airtime.
“Today is considered by many as the opening day of the giving season and we want our listeners to think of education when they think of worthy causes to support,” says Paul Larche, LCI President. “Georgian College students and graduates do really great work in our communities, both professionally and through their volunteer efforts, and we are proud to support them.”
Through LCI’s radio stations including The Dock 104.1 FM in Simcoe County, The Dock 92.3 FM in Owen Sound and KICX 106 in Central Ontario, this gift will remind listeners that investing in postsecondary education in turn strengthens the local economy and helps to build healthy communities.
“We are so grateful to Paul and Larche Communications Inc. for helping to raise awareness in Simcoe and Grey counties about our plans to transform the student experience,” says MaryLynn West-Moynes, President and CEO of Georgian. “Postsecondary education must be accessible. Our fundraising efforts for important resources like awards and scholarships, improved infrastructure and technology to better serve students anywhere, anytime from any device are helping us to do just that.”
