Holiday shutdown, Orientation and weather-related closures

All Georgian campuses will close at the end of the business day on Friday, Dec. 23 and will re-open Monday, Jan. 2.

Campus holiday closures

Fitness centres at the Barrie and Orillia campuses will operate on special hours from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1 – get full details.

In addition, the Orillia Campus will be closed Sunday, Jan. 8. The Orillia fitness centre will be open on that day and accessible to staff, students and members of the community.

Orientation schedule and start of classes

New students are encouraged to attend Orientation Monday, Jan. 9 from 8:30 a.m. until noon

At noon, all new and returning students will commence classes as per timetables; classes normally scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will commence at noon

Contingency plans for Orientation in case of inclement weather

If there is inclement weather and the college closes Jan. 9, Orientation will move to Jan. 10
If there is inclement weather Jan. 10 and the college closes, you’ll be updated at that time
