For the second year in a row, a Georgian student has won first prize in the student category of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Design Competition.

Sandra Gillan, enrolled in the one-year Kitchen and Bath Design graduate certificate program at Georgian, was announced the winner at the NKBA’s annual gala on Saturday, April 9 in Vaughn. The category is open to all students in Kitchen and Bath programs across southern Ontario.

Georgian was well represented at the event, with another student, Tommy Chin, receiving an honourable mention and 2014 alumna Mary Dancey taking home third prize for Large Kitchen Design.

Georgian’s Kitchen and Bath Design program follows NKBA guidelines. Submissions for this competition are included as a capstone project for the Advanced Kitchen and Bath Design course. All submissions are anonymous and judged by a panel of industry experts.
