Natasha Ilic and Jenna Hunter from Casino Rama gave golfers the chance to win a great prize in the jackpot ball contest.
The 28th annual Georgian College Golf Classic was one for the record books, raising $100,000 for awards and scholarships for students.
The event, presented by Casino Rama, took place on May 26 at The Club at Bond Head and was supported by a record-breaking number of sponsors, as well as 246 golfers.
At this uniquely Georgian tournament, golfers were entertained by several on-course activities and contests. Casino Rama gave golfers an illuminated jackpot ball to play for a chance to win dinner and a concert. Two lucky guests won car details while they golfed from Georgian Detailing which was founded by Georgian alumni, and culinary students and faculty served up garden vegetable gazpacho on the course. Other treats were provided by Hockley Valley Brewing Company, Dolcella Gelato and Not Yer Granny’s Granola.
“The Golf Classic is a fun and memorable tournament that includes our students, alumni and entrepreneurial partners,” says Lisa Eveleigh, Executive Director, Advancement and Community Development. “We are very thankful to everyone who supported this event because so many students stand to benefit from the awards and scholarships we will create.”
