Georgian alumnus named one of MP&P’s Top 20 Under 40

Recent Mechanical Technician – Precision Skills graduate Tyler Magri has been named one of Metalwork Production and Purchasing (MP&P) magazine’s Top 20 Under 40. According to the magazine, all honourees share two traits: humility and vision.

Tyler, who recently competed in the 2015 WorldSkills Competition in Brazil, is a great ambassador for his alma mater and his country. The hard-working alumnus is an apprentice machinist with Massiv Die-Form in Brampton and has a great career ahead of him.

The award will be handed to Tyler at the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show in Mississauga on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The biennial show is attended by approximately 8,000 professionals from across the country and features the latest manufacturing equipment and technology.

Georgian faculty member Jurgen Hierholzer, Tyler’s former instructor and WorldSkills trainer, will be there to cheer Tyler on.
