Dragon Manjit Minhas gives keynote at Henry Bernick Medal Awards 

International beer baroness, mompreneur and Dragon Majit Minhas shared the secrets of her success to an attentive audience at the Georgian Barrie Campus on March 27.

Minhas, co-founder of Minhas Breweries, Distillery and Winery has annual sales that have topped more than $150 million and her massive Wisconsin production facility is one of the largest in North America. It ships more than one million cans of beer a week.

In her inspiring, and often humourous keynote, she encouraged budding entrepreneurs in attendance to hone their negotiation skills and persevere through adversity.

Following her keynote she answered questions from the audience.

Her 45-minute keynote address was part of the Henry Bernick Medal Awards presentation. The medal commemorates the qualities of its namesake, Henry Bernick. Medals were presented to:

  • Student Entrepreneur – Connor Minielly (Bookshop Interactive)
  • Community Entrepreneur – Patricia Di Chiara (Luisella)
  • Entrepreneurs’ Champion – Stuart Morely
