Change starts here: Georgian’s United Way fundraising campaign starts today (Oct. 11)
Oct. 11, 2016
Georgian has officially kicked off its two-week United Way fundraising campaign to raise money for agencies throughout the Greater Simcoe County, Bruce-Grey and Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph regions. It runs through Oct. 21.
Funds raised through the initiative will go to the Community Funds program in regions where Georgian campuses are located. The program supports initiatives that help move people out of poverty, encourage community integration and settlement, and improve access to early childhood learning and development programs.
Donation information packages will be available at the front reception desk at each Georgian campus. Barrie Campus students can pick up their packages in the Georgian College Students’ Association (GCSA) office across from The Last Class (TLC). Completed forms can be returned to these locations.
Staff and students who return their pledge form by Oct. 21 will be entered into a prize draw for a $25 Tim Hortons gift certificate.
Georgian’s fundraising goal is $10,000.
