Human Resources Management student wins scholarship award

A young woman wearing glasses.Crystal Young, a student in Georgian’s Human Resources Management graduate certificate program, is this year’s recipient of a scholarship award from the Human Resources Professionals Association, Barrie and District Chapter. Her stellar academic record and her involvement in numerous volunteer activities outside the classroom were some of the criteria HRPA judges used to make the decision.

Crystal has been a peer tutor and a class leader. She is a student member of the HRPA and is preparing to write the Comprehensive Knowledge Exams in pursuit of her professional designation.

Enda Soostar, Human Resources professor at Georgian, says Crystal represents the best of a strong foundation the college has built in graduate certificate studies, especially for university and college graduates who are looking to launch their professional careers. “Crystal has a great sense of humour, commitment and integrity,” says Enda, “She is very well respected by both her peers and faculty alike.”

Congratulations Crystal!
