Program description

Turn your passion for people, travel, and excitement into a global career in hospitality! This dynamic two-year diploma prepares you for work in luxury resorts, five-star hotels, and top restaurant chains with hands-on training, industry certifications, and real-world experience. From day one, you’ll learn by doing—cooking and serving in a live campus restaurant, managing guest check-ins with hotel software, and visiting top regional resorts on exciting field trips. You’ll also complete a paid 560-hour co-op, connecting you directly with employers. Highlights include live training in restaurant, housekeeping, and front desk operations; certifications in Smart Serve, Food Safety, and First Aid/CPR; and support through a major hospitality career fair. Learn from experienced professors and gain tech-driven training with tools used by major hotel brands. Plus, you’ll have clear pathways into degree and post-grad programs. This program is your launchpad to a fast-paced, global hospitality career where every day is different.

How to apply to the part-time Hospitality – Hotel and Resort Operations Management program

Part-time students do not go through an application process for this program. To register for courses, you’ll need a Georgian College student number and declare your major. Declaring a major allows you to take all courses under that major.

As a part-time student, you may be eligible for OSAP funding, depending on the number of courses you take per semester.

These courses are offered through OntarioLearn. Visit the OntarioLearn webpage to learn more.

OntarioLearn courses are set up as equivalents to the Georgian courses. You can choose to take the ODE courses or the Georgian courses.

When a Georgian course isn’t available to be delivered online, we’ve listed an OntarioLearn course in the delivery schedule. The majority of the Georgian courses have ODE equivalents set up. You can choose to take either course.

Previous postsecondary education: If you’ve completed courses, or some or all of a program, at another accredited postsecondary institution, you may be able to transfer all or some of your courses into a related program at Georgian.
