Course description

Students practice techniques used by personal support workers in a range of settings, including community living and/or in a health care facility in this clinical placement. Supervised by a preceptor, students demonstrate and further refine the skills, knowledge, and competence needed to provide safe and effective care to clients in a holistic manner. Working both independently and as part of an interprofessional health care team, students demonstrate responsibility and accountability in documenting, reporting and providing person-centred care.
