Course description

Students explore the role of the Personal Support Worker (PSW) in providing palliative and end-of-life care to support clients and their families. Reflecting on the concepts of loss, mourning and grief, students have an opportunity to discuss their personal feelings regarding death and dying. Students examine pain and common symptom management through pharmacological and non-pharmacological comfort measures.
