Course description

This course introduces students to occupational health and safety. Students examine factors, both in the larger society and within the occupational setting, that contribute to safe and unsafe workplaces. Students learn about the social and personal benefits of safe work practices, and methods to prevent and correct problems

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
