Course description

Students consolidate their knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the areas of problem solving, self-assessment, and reflection through discussion of placement experiences using the lenses of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, and Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Students reflect upon interdisciplinary and creative approaches to social change and innovation thereby allowing students to continue to build their professional portfolio of unique experiences and contributions related to social service work. In this seminar, students also focus on their transition from practicing to becoming a professional social service worker.

or Post Secondary level SSWK 1010 Field Placement Preparation Minimum Grade of 50)
and Post Secondary level SSWK 2016 Field Placement 2 Minimum Grade of P

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
