Students refine and consolidate advanced helping skills while demonstrating effective and contributory skills as a member of a clinical team. Students consolidate active listening and feedback skills and concentrate on developing appropriate service plans with clients that build on individual and community strengths and resources to meet identified needs. Students also focus on assessment, intervention, client welfare, and ethical issues.
Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
