Course description

Students will discover how to support children's holistic development while recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives and values. Students learn to adapt programs that reflect developmental variations to help children learn in partnership with their families, culture, and communities. Various resources and tools are used to examine development objectively. Students further investigate how early experiences are essential to the wiring of a young child's brain. They will identify community partnerships and resources to contribute to an early learning culture of diversity and inclusion.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
