Course description

Social entrepreneurship is about creating and leading organizations that advance a social mission using the structures and market place of business. In this course students are introduced to social entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurship, innovation, society, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues. Students focus on key concepts in the emerging field of social entrepreneurship in Canada, including organizational learning, sustainability, philanthropy, commercialization, profit and nonprofit development.



Course Hours


Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
