Course description

Students examine a variety of employment options, and with assistance, develop a personal plan for field placement, job attainment and career success. Using self-assessment tools and setting personal goals, students determine suitable individual marketing strategies, and the use of promotional deliverables to help secure a field placement or future employment. Through discussion of employer expectations, fundamental business procedures and workplace communications, students gain an understanding of the workplace environment as they plan their job search and practice interview skills.

Post Secondary level IDEC 2001 Media Presentation Methods Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
