Course description

In this course, students are introduced to the fundamentals of industrial instrumentation used for process measurements and process control and the relevant regulations and industry standards. Students discuss measurement terminology, key principles, and describe the principles of operation of primary elements, controllers and final elements used in industrial process instrumentation systems. Students learn the fundamentals of control types in complex systems, including open-loop, closed-loop, ON/OFF, and PID control
