Course description

In this laboratory and theory course, students are introduced to the complexities of living organisms including the structural and functional aspects of life. Emphasis is placed on biological systems from the molecular level upwards and students have an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to hands on applications in the laboratory. Field trips and guest speakers to the class provide students the opportunity to investigate real-world biological systems and explore environmental careers.
