Course description
Students explore the importance of wellness and employee engagement in the workplace. Healthy and engaged employees create healthy organizational outcomes; therefore, promoting employee wellness and engagement is critical to an organization’s success. Students learn how to promote health and wellness in the workplace, develop proactive policies, define roles and responsibilities of employees and managers in the context of healthy employee engagement, assess the difference between mental well-being and mental illness, identify factors that put people at risk of mental illness in the workplace, and create workplace strategies for human resources practitioners to maintain their own well being while providing support to others

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
