Spaceship Earth
GNED 1000
Course description
How do our choices affect the planet? This course examines the impact of human activity on Earth's ability to support life. We explore pressing environmental issues such as climate change and consider what tomorrow may bring. Students compare the Expansionist worldview, which treats nature as a resource to exploit, with the Ecological worldview, which emphasizes balance and respect. Along the way, we look at environmental success stories and draw insights from traditional Indigenous teachings whose practices have long supported sustainable relationships with the land
