Security Operations

Course description

Students explore what makes up a security operations centre and the steps involved in being a security operations analyst. Student learn about different soc tools, triage, alerts and monitoring systems. Students gain knowledge on data collection and the use of a Security Information and Event Management system (SIEM), as well as automation processes to make the job more efficient

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
