Safe Lifting for Marina Operators

Course description

This theoretical course provides an overall framework for safe lifting practices for marina operators, supervisors, and employers, enabling them to work within the legislative requirements of the Province of Ontario. Students learn the principles and regulatory requirements related to industrial cranes, lift trucks, mobile boat hoists, and hydraulic trailers. Lifting tasks involving forklifts, cranes, boat hoists, and travel lifts are discussed. Training emphasizes hazard recognition in a variety of workplace scenarios.
