Course description

Students learn to build responsive and respectful relationships with children and their families in order to create an optimal partnership with families and communities. Students acquire an understanding of the multifaceted nature of identity and cultural inclusivity with an emphasis on Indigenous perspectives. Students learn to develop and employ strategies that meet the diverse needs of all families, while keeping the well-being of the child as their focal point

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
